Before I leave the early Ballajora Corkills, there was something that bothered me about William 1656-1711, the eldest son of James Corkill & Jony Callow (and brother of Edward who married Ann Cattin/Cashin in 1701 and moved to Ballasloe).
CR has William's son William also dying in 1711, yet there was only one burial for William Corkill in 1711 in Tom Corteen's transcripts. Did he miss the burial on or shortly after 1 Nov.1711 [will]?

betwixt the sd Ewan and his stept-mother so that Ewan
was to have the three quarters of the Corn and his stept-
mother one quarter and Ewan was to give his stept-mother
a house dureing her Life
He bequeathed to his son Ewan an ox a stone? horse
and a maire and four sheeps and also half what vessels their
was in the house
He bequeathed to his Daughter Jony half a heifer and he
made his son Ewan and his wife Margory executors over
all his goods movable and unmovable whatsoever and six
pence apiece to the witnesses of the will

Some people have interpreted “and he made his son Ewan and his wife Margory executors” to mean that Ewan’s wife was Margory, but I think she was the stepmother – “his” (William’s) second wife. His son and his wife, not his son’s wife.
