Hi Frances.
I saw those burials, and Mrs Elinor CHRISTIAN aged 91 buried Aug 9 1822 would have been born c.1731 which fits her marriage in 1750, and her children b.1753-74. Having "Ballaterson" on her will certainly confirms it - many thanks for finding that.
Her eldest son was William: William CHRISTIAN aged 90, Ballaterson, buried 1 Nov 1849.
Will: CHRISTIAN, William 1849 Maughold A 72 0106252
The Radcliffes write about only one family at a time at Ballaterson, but they are not a family I have researched. It's a pity Elinor didn't mention more relatives in her will, but perhaps too many. By the time she was 91 there were probably masses of grandchildren/gt gch as well.
We need just one will/decree mentioning daughter Elinor's husband!
If she meant the sisters - her daughters - what a pity there wasn't a notation at the bottom or next page saying William Corkill had taken delivery of her legacy.
The Radcliffes wrote that the first William Christian, 1699-1765, (father of William c.1730-1798) married Isabel Kerruish. I can look up the dates tomorrow.
