Yes, this is the same family. In the 1901 Census, Joseph, is living in Whitehaven but has now moved to Priestman's Cottages, Newburn, Newcastle, where my father, also Joseph, was born in 1910.
Joseph Snr has married Wallsend girl Mary Kilpatrick although I do not know when,
