Hi Sue, many apologies for cutting everything off at a vital part of the process but in the last few weeks there has been one crisis after another on the domestic scene. I've had the death of a relative plus two illnesses of people close to me.
A couple of weeks ago, however, I did manage to go to Sunderland LDS Centre. The bits I picked up there plus what I found that you had already published in (I believe) 2007 has helped me build up a catalogue. Although it is by no means comprehensive, I am very pleased, all the same. Going back from my grandfather, the records are as follows;-
Joseph b 1883 m Mary Kilpatrick
Thomas b 1842 m Jane Graham then Mary Ann McLaughlin
Robert b 1806 m Catharine Kermeen.
William b 1779 m Elinor Chritian.
John b 1743 m Jane Skillicorn.
William b 1711 m Esther Cannell.
William b 1682 m Joney ?
William b 1650 m Margret Christian.
John b 1615 wife unknown
Thomas b 1547? wife unknown.
I am hoping I have got them all right and I know there will be a lot more detail to be filled in, but like I say, I am very pleased with the result even if it goes no further than this.
I'm sure that it all goes a bit hit and miss around the pre 1600 mark and I suppose that a lot of the churches where the records were kept, possibly weren't even built then.
Many thanks, Tony
