Many thanks for the information, Frances.
I noticed those two will entries on BL's index, and wondered why there wasn't a suitable William Corkill Maughold burial recorded that year (Wm Henry was an infant):
CORKILL, William 1829 Lezayre E 2 0106429
CORKILL, William 1829 Maughold E 2 0106429
That's why I hoped that the will was just slow going to probate, and that the Maughold one referred to one of the earlier William burials. There was a Brew will administered 41 years after his death!
I saw similar will numbering with the same names in the index, which did turn out to be two different Epis wills (in the same parish - but only one recorded on the burials index). I didn't find a list of defuncts. I wrote to Brian about them, as I didn't have the par reg on loan at the time - think Braddan.
However you are probably right that the second William Corkill was a typo, not being in the list of defuncts, and especially if you summarised the Maughold section at the same time?
