Thank you Jeanette. I forgot that Marown's marriages in the 1700s are missing, and we need to look at the Manx Notebook to find Frances's list from the Bishops Transcripts 1733-99. I found just one Looney, and its the one you identified 9 Feb 1768 for Thomas Looney and Ann Clague. They must be the parents of the 4 Looney children of Lonan 1769-77.
The IGI has a 21 Jun 1760 marriage for a Thomas Looney & Isabel Clague, but it's in Malew. The image on Family Search says both parties were from Malew. There were many Looneys in Malew, and I think this would be a different Thomas.
Also, Thomas and Daniel are not twins. Daniel was baptized 2 Apr 1739 and buried 29 Apr. Thomas was baptized 8 July 1740.
Do you know when Ann, wife of Thomas Looney, died? There's a Lonan burial for an Ann Looney 1 Oct 1809, and a will on the index for the same year, but it might be someone else. It's too bad there isn't a will for Thomas 1819, though there is one for his son Thomas 1839. I'm hoping there might be a mention of the two boys John & Ishmael somewhere.
