Hello Averil and LWJ,
As I wrote in one of my messages I was unhappy about Daniel's son John Looney and Isabel Camaish marrying in his home parish when he was aged only 18 and there was no consent given by parents/guardian.
"Wid. Looney" aged 82 (Yack) buried 22 Feb.1838 was probably the widow of John Looney 87 (Yack) buried 2 Dec 1835, so b.c. 1748, and his wife was b.c.1755/6.
At 42/43 years of age when her youngest child was born she was not too old for her children to be:
LOONEY John s/o John Looney/ Isabel Camaish bapt Maughold Parish Church 21 Sep 1788
LOONEY Eliza d/o John Looney/ Isabel Camaish Parish Church 9 Feb 1794
LOONEY Margaret d/o John Looney/ Isabel Camaish Parish Church 14 Aug 1796
LOONEY Robert s/o John Looney/ Isabel Camaish Parish Church 2 Apr 1799. Private baptism.
John Looney & Isabel Camaish married Maughold 17 Sep 1788.
This solution would agree with the land descent given in your recent message, LWJ, remove the clumsy marriage date for Daniel's son John, plus the later Daniel connection to the land Talloo Gob no Scoote, when he actually owned their superior "Lands of the Crow Creen" which were "more commodious & convenient".
It all seems to fit.
Sue
