Good morning, Sue,
I can see that we both need to provide documentation for the 1800s – I will search the Land Records and NSS.
And surely there must be a document proving - The transfer of Land - from Daniel Looney – to John Looney - his Brother.
I have drawn up a Chart from the 1841 Census, of the - Six SONS - born to John Looney and Margaret Kelvy.
Showing - the Living Descendants of some of the six sons.
Based on an extract on page 268 from the book, A History of Kirk Maughold by Constance Radcliffe.
By her marriage to John Looney, she had nine sons and one daughter, and from six of these sons are descended all the Looneys in Maughold
at the time of the 1841 Census.
The 1841 Census of Maughold, Isle of Man.
The Six sons - of John Looney and Margaret Kelvy.

Bob – is the living descendant of - DANIEL 1789 Son of, John Looney & Margaret Hutchen.
Bob - has submitted his DNA test.
The Manx DNA Co-ordinator – has told Bob that –
You match closely all the other Looney men, living in the USA who believed that they came from the Isle of Man, but were never 100% sure. You matching with them and sharing a common Loony ancestor sometime in the last 500-600 years confirms that they are indeed of Manx origin and are your relatives!
So it has been Bobs DNA test that has – PROVED - the USA Looney – their Isle of Man – CONNECTION.
There are other Looney descendants that have e-mailed me over the years.
