Many thanks for your offer of help with a John Looney, but as mentioned before, I haven't researched the family other than the Creech connection, and have no Looney ancestors (of whom I am aware).
However I am lucky enough to have Tom Corteen's excellent transcripts from the original Maughold church registers which I share whenever I think they might be helpful.
In this case it seemed a good idea to get back to the basics because of the complication of the two marriages and two sets of children with many of the same names.
One thing which both you and Averil have written bothers me.
You wrote:
"John Looney b. 1770, son of Daniel, married Isabel Camaish and had at least 4 children".
Averil wrote:
"John Looney 1770 & his wife Isabel Camaish - to his son
John Looney 1888 [1788] & his wife Rachel Redhead".
Marrying at aged 18 when no consent was given? Even though the reason appears to be obvious that is not a reason for the parent/guardian consent not to be recorded.
John son of Daniel Looney/Isabel Cashen bapt Maughold 14 Jan 1770.
John Looney / Isabel Camaish married Maughold 17 Sep 1788.
Their children:

LOONEY Eliza John Looney/ Isabel Camaish Parish Church 9 Feb 1794
