Averill, It appears that you are now confusing yourself. You said
"John Looney Senior died in 1804 – before his mother – Margaret Creetch als Looney als Kelvy – She still held the Lands of half of Gob ny Scoote and Crowcreen."
Margaret Creetch als Looney als Kelvy died in 1798, five years prior to the John Looney Sr. who you want to claim died in 1804. FYI, I still accept the 1835 death and burial date for John Looney, b. abt 1748.
Even under your theory, John Looney Sr. and his brother, Daniel, had ample time to comply with the terms of their parents Will and to inherit their rightful shares of the Gob ny Scoote and Crow Creen lands after their mother's death. Those land transfers may explain why John Looney Sr. and his Wife, Margaret (Hutchin), along with their son, John Looney Jr. sold Dreemskarry in 1802 as you have stated. FYI, the Dreemskarry sale actually took place in Nov 1800 per the original signatures and the sale was confirmed in 1802.
Sue, I too noticed the Wid (Yack) Looney who died in 1838, age 82 (b. ~1756). We know that John Looney (Yack) b. 1748 had been married to Margaret Hutchin who had died in 1802 per her estate. I have wondered if this Wid Looney might possibly have been a second wife for John Looney (Yack) b. 1748. "Wid Looney (Yack) is definitely too old to be the wife of Daniel Looney's son, John Looney, who was born in 1770 and who married Isabel Camaish d. 18 Jan 1817. Wid Looney (Yack) is definitely the right age to have married John Looney (Yack) after the death of his first wife, Margaret Hutchin.
