Averil, your theory only works if you choose to ignore the fact that John Looney (Yack) who died in 1835 was 87 years old.
The line of heirship described by Radcliffe and repeated by Sue in her prior posts fits the land transfer facts perfectly without ignoring the 1848 birth of John Looney (Yack) who filed his last will in Nov 1835, revoking all prior wills, before he died in Dec 1835.
Accepting the 1748 birth date for John Looney (Yack) does not change the fact that he married Margt Hutchin and had 11 children, nor does it change the fact that John Looney b. 1770, son of Daniel, married Isabel Camaish and had at least 4 children.
The only thing it does change is determining who Daniel Looney's grandson, John Looney b. 21 Sept 1788 might have married.
Sue, if you will tell me which John Looney it is that you are concerned with I will try to help.
