In lieu of the IGI you might want to look at the www.FamilySearch.org website. It is put on by the Church of Later Day Saints, Its free and it oftentimes displays scanned images from the parish records. I find it useful because there are so many different ways that you can perform searches of records from all over. You do not have to plug in a name at the top of the search column, you can use only the names of the parents to search all of their childrens names and births. You can limit your search only Births, marriages or deaths if that is what you are looking for. If you do not check the "exact" block it will search on all variations of the surname, ie, Looney, Lowny, Lowney, Luna, etc. You will most likely want to check the exact block when you search on a specific location, like "Maughold, Isle of Man" of simply "Isle of Man" if you want to search all parishes. You can also limit the years that will be included in the search to a specific range in order to narrow down the number of hits. One thing to be aware of, while your search may show 30 hits, if you look at the results you will find that there are multiple entries for the same person or couple. This is probably due to the "indexing" methods used in documenting these records. Some hits will have images attached while other duplicate record hits don't.
Try it out and plug in the names John Looney and Christian Kissack as the "parents" using "Isle of Man" 1825 to 1860 as the date range for "births" and you will see that they had a bunch of kids. From my research I figured this John Looney had to be the one who was christened 25 Mar 1796 in Maughold Parish.
