Frances, I've reviewed this thread and understand (I think) your argument that the Joney McDonald who married John Gick in 1752 was the Illegitimate daughter (born 1727) of John McDonald and Elinor Harrison. But I don't see an explanation of the identify of Joney McDonald who was born in 1730. Can you enlighten me?

My original source of information about Joney McDonald, wife of John Gick, was the Mormon IGI, which showed her having been christened 24 May, 1730. I realize the IGI is imperfect, but would like to understand who was christened on that date, if not "my" Joney.
