Joney McDonald/Joney McDaniel is just one person. Perhaps when spoken, they both sounded the same. Because there are several instances of the name being transcribed as McDonald, and several as McDaniel, I wondered if the 2 names were interchangeable --- or just transcription errors ?
Yesterday, I had a proper look for the first time at the part of this long thread which was written in June 2010, and was pleased to see that there's some very interesting research on the descendants of the Henry Gick b 1798 who was a brother of your John Gick b 1813. I'll paste in here one of Mark E Dixon's messages:

1st June 2010
Hello, Gicks! I was delighted to find this message string in a Google search for Gick information. The Gicks are among my obscure lines, and I would very much like to make connections with others.
I'm descended from Henry Gick (1832-1896) who, according to his obituary, came to the United States from Liverpool when he was nine years old, i.e., about 1841.
I have two primary sources of information about my Gicks. First is the Gick family Bible, in my possession. The pertinent entries, I think, are these:
Marriages
Henry Gick to Catherine Needham July 25 1825
Henry Gick to Mary E. Mcnamara July 4 1855
Births
Elizth Harrot Gick Daughter of Henry & Cathe Gick born August 25 1827
Henry son of Henry & Cathe Gick born April 30 1832
Robt Edw son of Henry & Cathe Gick born Oct 29th 1834
Deaths
Henry Gick died July 23 1834
Cathe Gick died Oct 28 1843
Elizth H. Gick died July 11 1849
From this, I know that my England-to-US immigrant, Henry Gick, was the son of Henry and Catherine (Needham) Gick. I believe that all pre-1841 events occurred in the UK, probably in or about Liverpool. All events after 1849 occurred in the United States.
My second major source of information about the Gicks is the Mormon IGI, which added two generations to the line so that it looks like this:
John Gick m. 1752 Joney McDonald/McDaniel
Archibald Gick (b. 1765) m. 1794 Elizabeth Yates
Henry Gick (1798-1834) m. 1825 Catherine Needham
Henry Gick (1832-1896) m. 1855 Mary McNamara
These are the family groups as found in the IGI:

End of Mark's message.

A family bible with handwritten entries of births etc----how exciting ! Perhaps Mark would photograph the relevant pages for you. And in another message, there's a reference to a photo of Henry Gick b 1832, nephew of your John Gick b 1813.
I found this marriage in the new IGI:
