I have just viewed the long list of 'offending
words' posted by Greg Kaigin. Most of them appear very innocuous to the point it would appear easier to tell people words they can use.
There are ways to stop, or curtail, spam which has been around a long time, but the way to do it is not to accuse people of using 'naughty' words.
And when people have spent time in putting together something helpful to others or providing a detailed response, it is understandable for them to be annoyed at the rejection, and to point out why they are annoyed.
I feel certain I am not alone, but most people just curl up and don't contribute anymore.
This reflects on the Islands image when people
are put down by a website that can appear, at least, to have Manx tourism at heart.
We are not children. We do not come here to be treated this way.
I propose bringing it to the attention of other areas of the Manx administration as I have great feeling and attachment to the island.
Now, perhaps you will tell me to calm down again. If this is your official response to feedback.
