Hello, Gicks! I was delighted to find this message string in a Google search for Gick information. The Gicks are among my obscure lines, and I would very much like to make connections with others.

I'm descended from Henry Gick (1832-1896) who, according to his obituary, came to the United States from Liverpool when he was nine years old, i.e., about 1841.

I have two primary sources of information about my Gicks. First is the Gick family Bible, in my possession. The pertinent entries, I think, are these:

From this, I know that my England-to-US immigrant, Henry Gick, was the son of Henry and Catherine (Needham) Gick. I believe that all pre-1841 events occurred in the UK, probably in or about Liverpool. All events after 1849 occurred in the United States.

My second major source of information about the Gicks is the Mormon IGI, which added two generations to the line so that it looks like this:
