Well Paul, There is more than one line that stems from within the Island.Maybe they are all inter-related, but it can be confusing to trace your direct line as one or two have the same Christian name and married someone with the same name both Christian and surname.

The Williams and Janes had me thoroughly confused.

You need to read through ALL the posts then sort them out and try from your own information, other than just your surname to see where you fit in.

You privided no info about yourself, not even where you are - The UK, Australia, New Zealand, or USA.

There appears to be no Gicks now living in the island, unless they are ex-directory (and for this I would not blame them as they probably would have had many phone calls from would- be 'long lost relatives'.
