In the name of God Amen.
I William Gick of Ballaquaggin in the parish of KK Malew Farmer being of
sound and disposing mind memory and understanding at the making
hereof but considering the uncertainty of this life do make this my last
will and testament in manner following, that is to say:
I commit my soul to God and my body to be buried at the discretion of my
executrix hereinafter named.
I leave devise and bequeath unto my daughter Christian Bridson of forty pounds British as legacy.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine the sum of forty pounds British.
I leave and bequeath to my daughters Esther and Elizabeth the sum of
forty pounds British each.
I leave unto my sons John and Thomas the sum of forty pounds British
each and unto William my eldest son and heir at law I leave and bequeath
the sum of five shillings British.
And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Catherine my loving
wife whole and sole executrix and residuary legatee of the rest residue
and remainder of my goods chattels and effects of every nature or kind
whatsoever and wheresoever and I do hereby revoke and make void all
and every former will or wills by me heretofore made and executed and
do declare this only to be my last will and testament.
As witness my subscription this 24th day of February 1825. Wm Gick

At Douglas July 29th 1823 Wm Gick the testator having departed this
life and Catharine Gick relict and widow of the deceased the executrix to
the foregoing will having made appplication for probate thereof .
Therefore probate of the same is hereby granted to the said Catharine
Gick she having been duly sworn well and truly to execute the same to
pay all the debts funeral expences and legacies so far as the goods will
extend and the law bind her. To return unto the Episcopal Registry a full
and perfect inventory of the estate and an accurate account of all her
transactions touching the estate when thereto lawfully required and to
these ends William Gick and John Quine have entered into a bond inthe
sum of five hundred pounds British and said executrix hath made
affidavit that the personal property of the deceadent will not exceed

I Catharine Gick of Ballaquaggan in the parish of Malew (widow of
William Gick late of the aforesaid place but now deceased) being of
sound mind memory and understanding at the time of the making hereof,
but considering the uncertainty of life do make this my last will and
testament in manner following, that is to say.
I commit my soul to God and my body to a Christian burial at the
discretion of my executor hereinafter named.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Christian wife of Thomas Bridson
five pounds and four pair of bed sheets.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Catharine wife of John Campbell
the sum of five pounds and four pair of bed sheets.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Esther wife of Robert Cowley the sum of eighty pounds sterling and a bed and bedding and four pair of bed sheets together with all the rest of my household furniture that is not bequeathed in this will.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth wife of John Karran of
Castletown Saddler the sum of twenty pounds sterling together with the
feather bed on which I lie and four pair of sheets.
I leave and bequeath unto my son John one hundred pounds Sterling, two
beds and bedding, his fathers chest and the furniture in the little parlour
and four pair of sheets.
I leave and bequeath unto my son Thomas the sum of fifty pounds , two
beds and bedding and four pair of sheets.
I leave and bequeath unto my son William the best table and his fathers
writing desk.
I leave and bequeath unto my aforesaid children all my table linnen to be
equally divided among them all share and share alike and also the sum of
forty four pounds due unto me from Mrs Margaret Brew should the same
be ever recovered the same to be also equally divided amongst my said
children share and share alike.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter in law Catharine wife of my said
son William Gick a suit of mourning in token of my affectionate regard
for her.
I nominated constitute and appoint my aforesaid son William Gick whole
and sole executor of this my last will and testament and residuary
legatee of all the rest of my goods chattles and effects of whatever kind
or nature soever they be and do hereby revoke and make null and void all
other wills by me at any time heretofore made declaring this only to be my last will and testatment. As witness my subscription this the Sixth of March one thousand eight hundred and forty five.

executor named sworn with pledges John Carran of Ballahowin Santan
and Wm Moore Ballavilley Santan.

Thomas Bridson received 5 lbs 5 Dec 1852.
Elizabeth Karran received 20 lbs 6 July 1849 per her husband John
Karran.
Thomas Gick received the within amount this day 15th Sep 1853.
Robert Cowley and Esther received 80 lbs 20 Jul 1846.
John Gick received 100 lbs 18 Oct 1848.
