Well I got my gr Grandfathers Marriage certificate to Anna Swan and as a previous thread noted John Gick ,born 1850 in Inchmore Dublin , Father was also John Gick. Anna Swan's father was William and she was born in Meath Co Ireland 1853-54. John age 26 and Anna age 22 in Sept 1876 when they were married. They were next door neighbours. My very serious problem now is I've joined Ancestry.uk and for the life of me I cannot find a trace of John or Anna until they marry in Devonport. There are some possibilities for Anna from different places so her family might have dropped into and out of Devonport between 1871-1881 but I cannot find any John Gick's with a John Gick son anywhere that is at all possible. Besides census I've looked up baptisms etc Where do I go next.
