I don't know whether or not it was the right ref., but it looked like a possibility. - I found it on an Irish website for Co.Meath, Ireland.

You need to register as a new member, which is free.

Then see "Free Index Access" and click on "Baptismal/Birth Records for Co. Meath".
I limited the search to the children of William SWAN and date 1849 plus or minus 5 years. I didn't fill in anything else - just surname Swan, Father's surname, Father's first name, and the year 1849 +/- 5 years.

You pay to see the actual entry, which I assume would also have the mother's name, and possibly address and/or other details.

You can then try marriages, burials, etc.
