Leroy W. Tilton states in “The Robert and Elizabeth Looney Family”, “No record of Robert Looney in America has been found earlier than 1734 when Robert and Elizabeth Looney were in Philadelphia at the time their son Peter was born. This is known only because of an interview that Peter had on 28 July 1757 at Philadelphia with a correspondent of the "London Chronicle: or Universal Evening Post."
