It appears that this Robert Looney may have been bapt. twice, once on 5 March 1699 while his mother, Alice Quiney was still alive, and again on 6 Oct 1700 after his mother had died, d. 27 Feb 1700. If the second bapt. was yet another Robert Looney, son of Robert and Margt. Quayle, this may explain the burial of the other Robert Looney, 2 Jun 1717 there in Malew Parish.

One thing for sure, the Robert Looney bapt. 5 Mar 1699 stuck around the IOM and Malew Parish until 1784 when he died at age 86.
