Averil, I think you missed my whole point. I went back through all those prior messages and I went back through the birth, marriage, burial and wills and all of the Robert Looney are accounted for there on the IOM which means that the Robert Looney, bapt. 19 Jun 1689, could not be the Robert Looney who went to America. The Robert Looney, bapt. 19 Jun 1689 appears to have died abt 20 Aug 1689 based on a Malew Parish burial record.

There is also another Robert Looney "of Ballasalla", son of Robert, who died 7 Mar 1784 at age 86.

It also appears that the will of Thomas Looney (1726 will) "of Barbados" has been misread. It appears to me that Thomas Looney is the one who had "left the Island", not his father, Robert Looney, who died there in Malew Parish per his 1706 will.
