Hello Frances, Sue, David or John,
With regard to the posting about the naming of two children with the same name because the first child might be thought to be close to death at some point in its life: would that possibly be the reason that in William Taggart's will of 1721, he names both "Henery" the child, and "Henry" the child of age = two boys both named Henery and Henry? I have wondered why William Taggart named both boys Henry. Could the other reason possibly have been that the name of "Henery" was a different christian name entirely in Manx culture?
Please excuse my amateur questions.
