Joyce Oates has your William Taggart as bapt 8 Aug.1708 Malew, with father Jo [John] Taggart - is this correct?
She records Matthias's sister Margaret TAGGART as being of Ballakew, Malew (married Daniel BRIDSON 1736 Santon), and brother William Taggart b.1747 as being of Gibdale Malew and married Catharine WATTERSON.

And married Ellinor BRIDSON 27 March 1733. She was bapt 10 Sept. 1710 Malew d/o John (Malew bur reg: Elinor Taggart als Bridson bur 25 Mar 1795).
JO listed 8 children with Martha the youngest and the eldest as Captain Matthias TAGGART of Castletown, Malew, bapt 24 Feb 1733/1734, d.1786, and "mentioned in 1756 addendum of will of gma in law Mgt Curghey als Lowcay".
Yes Martha married Thos Caine 3 Feb 1776 @ Malew and had 8 children.
I've got this Caine line back to Thos bc 1706 Marown who married Ellinor Kelley bap 19 Aug 1709 @ Marown and produced 8 children also.

I had approx bapt date for Wm Taggart and possible father John Taggart and I had the marriage 1733 Malew but I have only found 6 children so far.
Matthias 1733 Ballakew, Margt 1739 Ballakew. Kath 1742. Wm 1747. Elizth 1750
and Martha 1754. The younger four I have bapt Malew.

As my organisational skills are minimal [at best] do you have any hints on how to store / record information acquired. I'm finding myself trecking the same trail over and over and strangely finding the same results. I accept that it should be common sense but it seems I am lacking that also. Any tips would be appreciated.
