I put up a few more related wills in Malew - catch is that Wm Taggart of Ballakew was Abbey Land and land records not so easy to follow - however there is a 1701 list which gives Wm Taggart formerly Wm Taggart as tenent of Ballakew

and in Ballakew 9s rent Wm Taggart compounded for in 1666 by Wm Taggart - years determined

the history of the Abbey lands means that the tennants had signed 40 year leases in 1607 before the Stanleys regained control in 1609 thus they escaped the general 1643 fining which was usually for 3 named lives - hence that bit of useful knowledge is lost
