Your message is especially interesting because my ancestor is also a Catharine daur of William Taggart (& Margaret Kelly), bapt 16 April 1703 Malew. She married William Creer of Ballamodda, Braddan, on June 22nd 1718 Malew.
- So we have a common ancestor in 2nd William TAGGART of Ballakew.

Your theory about the two William Taggart grandchildren certainly looks possible, and something which hadn't occurred to me. That would work!

Frances may have a scan of Jane Taggart als Moor's 1732 decree [TAGGART, Jane 1732-2 Mal MOORE E d 0106373] in her backlog, and know what happened to Ballakew. I think Joyce's notes had Williams there into the 1800s - I'll check.

Was Joyce correct when she wrote that Ellinor Bridson was daur of John Bridson & Ann MOORE [marr 5 Nov 1709], Ann d/bur 31 Oct 1776 Malew. John Bridson's father Revd John Bridson marr "Jane" 18 Oct 1668 Malew, and d/bur 21 Aug 1722 Malew. Revd John Bridson's father of Ballavarane d/bur 4 Jan 1677/78, wife Alice?
