I think most of what I wrote in that first message "William Taggart of Ballakew, Malew" (21/3), was correct - see that for the reasons for including these particular children
2nd William Taggart the heir b.c.1648, bur.27 March 1721 Malew [will], marr.[1] Margery BRIDSON 2 Oct. 1670 Malew (Margery daur of Nicholas BRIDSON & Catharine JOUGHIN of Arbory. Her will 1699).
Children of 2nd William TAGGART & Margery BRIDSON included:
1. (3rd) William Taggart bapt Dec.1675 [JO], in 1700 Deed. Named in grandfather Nicholas BRIDSON’s 1679 will. Married Isabel [TAGGART?] or [HARRISON?]. Buried Malew 28 Feb.1711/12. Will = TAGGART, William 1711-3 Santon, Ballacorris. His son (4th) William Taggart bapt 20 Dec 1700 Ballacorris, Santon, buried 7 June 1787 Cordiman, Malew, married ?[1]Jane MOOR 18 April 1721 Santon
(Epis decree of Jane 1732-2 may well prove informative.)
4th William married [2] Ellin BRIDSON (Ballavarrin) 27 Mar 1733 Malew; William of Ballakew. (John Lawson suggested that the William Taggart grandson in Elinor's 1699 will was an earlier son William who died between 1699 & late 1700 when 4th William was baptised.)
2. Jane Taggart bapt:16 Mar 1672 Malew d/o Wm., married 20 Nov.1692 Malew to James T(A)UBMAN (son of Radcliffe Taubman d.1724 will Patrick [JO]).
Jane Taggart named in grandfather Nicholas BRIDSON’s 1679 will.
3. Alice Taggart bapt 25 Feb 1679 Malew marr.28 Oct.1694 Captain John BRIDSON 1667-1730/31, buried 10 July 1743 Alice Bridson als Taggart of Rogane Moooas Santon [JO].
4. Ellin Taggart bapt 23 Oct 1681 Malew [died young?].
5. Ann Taggart bapt 12 Aug 1688 Malew married 1704 Malew to William QUINE.
2nd William TAGGART Ballakew marr. [2] Margaret KELLY on 2 Sept.1700 in Malew [her will 1742].
William's will (6 March 1720/21)has his five children viz., Henery, John, Eals [Alice], Ellinor, and Margery Taggart.... and "Henry & Catherine Taggard the brother and sister at age are sworn supervisors of the children under age".
The children of William TAGGART & Margaret KELLY included:
?1. Henry [in father’s 1720/21 will]. No bapt found. He is a mystery.
2. Margaret bapt Malew 26 Sept.1701, married John BRIDSON 5 May 1716 Malew, aged 14? and was buried Malew 18 July 1720. [Died before both parents' wills.]
3. Catherine bapt Malew 16 April 1703-1774 (will), married William CREER of Ballamodda, Braddan (will 1769).
4. John bapt Malew 27 Feb.1706. John collected the remainder of his £4 (undated), after the death of his mother Margaret in 1742, from the hands of William KEWLEY her exec., whom she had married after William Taggart’s death.
5. Ellin bapt Malew 9 June 1709 (died young?)
6. Alice bapt Malew 13 Sept 1711 married John KEWLEY 18 Aug.1728 Ballaugh (step-father’s son John?)
7. Marjery bapt Malew 14 Feb.1713. Jane CANNON, granddaughter, was bapt 14 June 1735 Kirk Michael, daur of Jon CANNON & Margery TAGARD. Other children were Anne bapt 1737 and John bapt 1740. [Daughter Margery bapt 14 Feb.1713.]
In 1741 Margaret [Margery?] Taggart “now the wife of Harry CHRISTIAN acknowledges to have received the legacy of four pounds left unto her by her father William Taggart of KK Malew deceased about 20 years ago..”.
8. Ellin bapt Malew 28 April 1717 married William COWLEY [The attachments to William Taggart’s 1721 will show that by 1726 daughter Ellin[or] had married William COWLEY]
So his will named only the living children of his second marriage, which often means marriage contracts for the first family, or other financial help had already been given.
- That's assuming that Henry was from his second family.
