"A History of Kirk Maughold" by Constance Radcliffe - her book has been the basis of my family history on the Looney and Kelvie Families, and other branches of my family tree.
it is a 'must have' book for anyone searching out their Ancestry in the Parish of Maughold, Isle of Man.

as worked out from the Land Deed in Maughold.
2s Jane Woods als Christian 9d Wm Looney & John Looney 3d Willm. Looney son of the sd John Looney for the sd 12d rent
The Right of the above 9d rent fell to the sd Wm. Looney by after the decease of the above Jane Woods by vertue of the last will & testament of her husbd. Wm. Woods to wch she gave her Consent _ And the sd Wm Looney Devised , his Right in the sd 12d rent to the sd John his son by will now produced, and his mother Joney Looney Settled her part upon him not only by her consent to her sd husbands
will but likewise by Deed of Gift dated the 2nd Novr 1727 lawfully confirmed by the Court And the sd John Looney being also dead.
