Know all men by these presents that I
Ann Macartney of Magher e Kew in the parish
of KK Maughold, by and with the Consents
of Eliza and Anna Macartney For and in
Consideration of Fifty Pounds according to the
Currency of Great Brittain paid us by John
Looney Senr. of the parish aforesaid Have Given
Granted Bargained, Confirmed, and Sold and
by these presents Do give grant bargain and
for ever Sell unto him the said John Looney
all our right title and interest of and unto Several
Parts or Parcells of the Estate of Magher e Kew
Names of
aforesaid Commonly Known by the ^ [Croit naping]
and Croit Vally, with the Houses Gardens
Hagyard and other edifices, that formerly went
under the Name of Boshin houses and Easements
belonging thereto together with a part of that
field Called the Curragh Moar that Strikes
to the north west Corner thereof, so that the Hedge
us
that is to be the Boundary between ^ is to run and
extend upon a Stright and and direct line in –
Parrallel with the north Hedge of said Curragh
to the lands of Karran, the said parcells are
adjoining each other other and adjoining to the
said Karran’s lands on the south west and
to the old road in the west, and northwest north
and north East and to the rest of said Curragh
on other sides From us the said Ann Macartney
Eliza and Anna Macartney Our Heirs Exors.
admons. and assigns. To Have and to hold unto
him, the said John Looney, his Heirs Exors,
admons. And assigns for ever Commencing from
the date hereof With all ways Waters Water
Courses Easements liberties rights Members and
Appurtinances there unto belonging or in any
Appertaining, with every individual part and
Member of the same, he in that case yeilding and
paying the Chief Lords Rent with all other Boons
Suits and Services annually incumbent and
Chargeable on the said Sold premises And we
the said Sellers do hereby engage Our Selves Our
Heirs Exors. Admons.and assigns. to uphold
awarrant Maintain and defend him the said
Purchaser in the Possession of the said Sold premises
against the pretended right or title of and every
person or persons Whomsoever, Any thing herein
before Contained, to the Contrary, Notwithstanding
And for the true performance of all and Singular
We the said, Ann Macartney, Eliza Macartney
and Anna Macartney Do hereby bind and
Oblige Ourselves Our Heirs Exors. admons. and
assigns in and Under the Penalty of One Hundred
Pounds British to be paid & Levied according to
Law & As Witness Our Subscriptions this 17th
[day of] April 1812

John Quilliam One of the Subscribing witnesses
to the beforegoing Deed of Sale made oath upon
the Holy Evangelists that Ann Macartney one
of the executing parties to the Same duly signed
and executed, the said Deed in his presence and in
presence of the Other Witness John Tear, and Eliza
Macartney and Anna Macartney acknowledged
the said Deed of Sale to be their proper Act and
Deed
