Am trying to sort out Loony's from Maughold for a friend. I was born there we came to New Zealand in 1953 so over the years I have collected quite a lot of info about the island. I have Constance's book on Maughold which is very helpful. I am after the family of John Looney married to Rachel Redhead who went out to Australia in 1840 and 1842. I thought His parents were John and Isabel Camaish but on line I am finding John and Margaret Hutchins. His death in Australia makes his birth 1888 and I also found a reference to a John, wife Margaret nee Hutchins and son dying in IOM!!! Can you shed any light on this. You have done an amazing amount of work on this line and are to be congratulated, you must have helped a lot of people. Before I go back any further I must try and sort out these parents.
