Public acknowledgement of Theodore as a grandson would suggest one of the sons was his father something that they appear to have wanted to avoid as the sons were single men. It looks to me like Theodore's baptism name was Theodore Edward Holroyd and the family were vague about the other details saying only that parental surname was Wood.
