Thank you everyone!!
I have just been on the GRO and can see the missing mothers maiden name
Sorry for asking, but I have never come across this before - hence probably the slight excitement that you have helped me find the registered birth, however with the mothers maiden name, am I correct in understanding that this is Wood (per your last message)?
Which would mean the Mother is "Wood" and the Fathers name is "Unknown" ? Am I likely to be able to work out/find the father if I have understood this correctly?
Richard Ellis Holroyd & Charlotte E.Clucas Holroyd (Nee Bridson) lived in Liverpool on the census reports: 1871 & 1881, they had moved back to IOM for the 1891 census. When looking at the cenus report for 1881, 2 of their sons: Richard Bridson Holroyd (13) and Arthur Holroyd (11) attending "Strathallan Hall School"
Thank you again for all your help, a mystery I have been looking at on and off and today I have had so much help, it is really exciting!!
