James noted him as adopted child in 1901, his wife was still alive so guess that she could have cared for him tho 3mnth babies generally require a younger mother (tho noted that by 1911 he had a housekeeper whom he shortly afterwards married) - why then have this very strange Ramsey baptism (note the pencilled comment which I assume are on the original 1911 official copy - have you looked at the original church register?) when he could easily have had Theodore 'conditionally' baptised at his local church without I presume too many questions asked even tho he must have been somewhat prominent in town affairs.
I don't have access to 1901 but there was an Alice Holroyde age 26 in Onchan in that census - we are assuming that Wood was a true name maybe like Manx sailors during impressment times you gave your mothers maiden name to avoid future problems.
