I’m intrigued to see the details on that Jan Q 1901 West Derby birth registration for Male Wood when you receive it, Gem.

Am I right in thinking that, if a baby were born alive but died before the birth had been registered, the birth and death registrations would both take place at the same time, and in these circumstances, it was valid to register without a christian name ? But would the Register Office accept a registration for a baby without a christian name when that baby was alive at the time of registration ?
