The Archives in Manx Museum have the original parish registers.They are not normally available .If they were they would probably have disintegrated years ago. Scholars
like Frances can have access sometimes. I do not believe you will find the baptism in Malew ----time was limited but I did search. As I suggested give the Registry all the
details of the Marriage cert. in the hope you get the correct spelling . I have had a couple of bad experiences lately ---new staff with odd spellings. As the certs were "modern" I
managed to persuade them to make a correction. Unlike in Uk they are handwritten with permanent black ink. With " modern " certs" those of us who can call in person can
pay to read the copy register they use ,half price & then purchase if we wish. As Sue has said if you hire the film ---over a period you can study all of it & learn a lot about life in
that parish &or find many other connections.
