Back with a request, and an update.
I am still trying to track down the birth or christening information for Margaret Jane Bridson. I believe she is the daughter of Ellinor (Radcliffe) and William Bridson, and I also believe she was christened at Malew in 1826. I have scoured the FamilySearch website with as many variations of her name as I can think of. No luck. Submitted trees do not include MJB; however, there is a definite gap which would accommodate her christening.
Apart from ordering her marriage certificate (Kennaugh, July 6th, 1852), what other information can I search for with the limited information I have? Unless I have a definite date for her christening then I am only very reasonably sure of her lineage. There were a few confusing issues here. Her apparent older brother, William, married a Margaret. Therefore the 1841 and 1851 census information was confusing until I confirmed that William was a widower and his wife died.
The other issue was the reference to Cregeen/Taggart. I now believe this related to an Ann Taggart who married a John Crejeen. She died, aged 29, in 1835. Now I have to figure out the connection to the Taggart family.
Any ideas on how to confirm Margaret Jane Bridson’s christening would be much appreciated so that I can definitely know that she is the daughter and William and Ellinor.
Thanks so much!
Lynn
