Re: Ann, wife of John Kelly b1823 C't

Now one step further. From John Kelly's second marriage to Jane Ritson, he was then a widower & a painter in C'town. His father was James Kelly a mason. This means that his mother was Isabella Quirk. Chr date would be 30th April 1823 to these parents in Malew. In 1841 census ( as Jean said ) there is the John aged 15 mason's apprentice with a Robert aged 50 a mason & Isabella 45. However, this 15 year old John could be Robert & Isabella's son as there is also a christening of a John Kelly ALSO in Malew in 1823 but in Nov to a Robert Kelly & Isabella Maddrell.
The question still remains where my John Kelly was in 1841 before he md his first wife Ann ?
In Lawson's 1841 there are 3 Isabella Kellys but only 2 husbands that would fit. The above mentioned Robert aged 50 & 45 year old Isabella & a William Kelly aged 35 who is with a 30 year old Isabella. The missing partner Isabella is in Malew (not C'town) & is aged 30. At least John's father has been verified !! Kay N
