I got rather lost in the different strands of your threads - sorry - and have been reminded that you wrote here that your copy of Elizth Sophia's Braddan baptism record stated that her mother was Margt Gill, father alleged Robt Gill 25th Feb 1827. So it definitely called her mother the full name of Margt Gill at her daughter's baptism.

In which case I don't think that Margaret Kermeen would have been her mother, who became Gill much later. However the will/decree which Frances mentioned should confirm this one way or the other:

She also wrote that Robert Gill Snr's will might be on LDS film no.0106438 rather than the one I gave from Brian’s index: 0106437, which you have ordered, so that will be the reason if you are unable to find it on the film. However Frances has posted the two summaries for the Robert Gill wills, and no sign of Elizth Sophia which is disappointing.

If there is anyone in the IoM who would look at Presentments for you, and especially in view of “father alleged Robt Gill” written at her baptism, these should identify the father, and also possibly the mother, by giving an address, or at least a parish.
They are not filmed and are kept at the Manx Museum Library. If you don't have anyone to look for you, the MM staff will scan and email a copy for a fee if you have the ref details for the entry. I was told some time ago that the staff were indexing the proceedings, in which case they may now look up the ref for you.
