Thanks, Frances. I always like looking at your transcripts, and it is possible that Robert Gill jnr was Elizth Sophia's father Robert Gill, but doesn't look likely from his brothers' ages (although his father did have at least a couple of marriages).

On the Familysearch transcript of the Braddan baptism of Elizth Sophia, her mother was given as Margt Gill, so she might have been entered in the par reg as Margt with no surname.

I couldn't find a likely Robert in Braddan, hence the Ramsey theory.

The two Robert Gill wills I mentioned could be those of your father and son, and if Sophia or Margt were named, and along with the transcript you posted, could take Maureen back several generations.
