Sue, I shouldn't stick my nose in here as I was only paying superficial attention to this thread until I wanted to pick up more about marriage contracts - I'm ashamed to say I was ignorant of them 'til now. But I've read the paragraph about William Joughin b.c 1623 three times now and can't work out what I'm missing - how was he was 69 in the 1692 Composition book if he was buried in 1673? Obviously I haven't troubled myself with looking at the Composition book or re-reading the rest of this thread, so if this is a really stupid question don't bother to reply!
