I have just posted all of the details that I so far have in reply to an earlier message from Donna.

I am a complete novice at this, so it was immediately exciting to hear of a link that matched my records, even if it was only at Grandfather level. (Every journey begins with a small step!)

There are some further scant details posted on my earlier note to Donna and perhaps something may come of this.

As I am a novice I am sadly lacking in even the basic principles, therefore any advice on where I might find further records (you mentioned BDM's) would be really useful. Are these available on-line?

My appetite has now been whetted. Let's hope that I can give some future help with the Joughin jigsaw!!
