This is as much information as I have been able to gather so far. Unfortunately no one can recall any further back, nor who was the the first generation to leave the island.
However, we believe there to have been a mystery surrounding my Great Grandfather - Charles, who died in 1919. There is the possiblility that he may have committed suicide by jumping into the dock at Liverpool. Therefore at least from this generation we were already in Liverpool.
Any information or guidance that you could give me would be really useful and I hope that the information I have provided may also be useful to others.
