I feel as many today, no modern application should be applied, but the principal dogma of illegitmacy still stands, many do not know where they have come from and who their parents are, as the Manx proverb states this principal truly.

I went back into the Manx Notebook you compiled and under the Ballaugh parrish you have the under the date of A.D. 1712:

PHILIP&PATRICK , TWIN SONS OF ADAM CAIN, OF YE GILL, THE YOUNGER, BAPTIZED IN THE HOUSE JULY 17TH, AND PHILIP, THE OLDER BAPTIZED IN THE CHURCH YE 18TH.,

My records state: and these are not MORMON FILES: Patrick Cain born July 17, 1712, which does co-incide with your date of BAPTISM OF PATRICK, KK BAllAUGH PARRISH, AND PHILIP, TWIN, BORN JULY 17TH, 1712 , BAPTISMAL DATE JULY 17TH 1712, NOT JULY 18TH as your write up dates, and then the Family History Society has the date of A CHILD OF ADAM CAIN DIED OF SMALLPOX. CAIN ---SP--06DEC1713, is this where you got the reference of Philip dying of small pox? It does not give the childs name.

Under our records, Adam Cain was born March 5, 1669/70, KK michael and Anne Corlett born Oct .2 1681 in KK Ballaugh Parish married in KK Michael Parrish ABT 1700, the Parish of Adam, noT ANNE'S PARRISH OF BALLAUGH AND ELINOR STOEN was suppose to have married Adam in1696 at KK MICHAEL, please help this is so distressing, I accepted it , but now I must question it for our Patrick was off of ANNE CORLETT, and with different dates with the baptism date of Philip as the July 18th and our July 17, year 1712 for both and then dying on DEc. 06, 1713, with small pox, could there not be a mistake , ADAM produced children with ANNE CORLETT FROM 1703, JOHN CAIN BEING THE FIRST CHILD, TO THE YEAR 1715, THE YEAR JONEY CAIN WAS BORN AND HOW COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MARRIED TO THE ELINOR STOEN WHEN HE WAS PRODUCING CHILDREN WITH ANNE CORLETT,IN 1712,WITH ANNE CORLETT AND THEN HAVING TWINS WITH ELINOR too. Something in very wrong here, we need clarifIcaiton, the dates of the twin born to Anne Corlett is 1712, if ADAM HAD TWINS WITH ELINOR STOEN, what year were they born, since baptismal records were kept , can you please find the dates of these twins being born to the ADAM CAIN-EILNOR STOEN MARRIAGE? THERE IS A 16YEAR DIIFERENCE HERE IN DATE OF THE TWINS BY ANNE CORLETT AND ADAM CAIN, IF THE MARRIAGE OF ADAM AND ELINOR STOEN WAS IN 1696. IF WE CAN MAKE MISTAKES ON OTHER DATES , CAN WE NOT MAKE MISTAKES IN MARRIAGES OF MAYBE TWO DIFFERENT ADAM CAINS AT TWO DIFFERENT PARRISHES, BALLAUGH AND KIRK MICHAEL. This cannot be POSSBLE HE WAS MARRIED TO ANNE CORLETT AND PRODUCED THE LAST CHILD IN 1715 WITH ANNE CORLETT. Are we talking about two different ADAM CAINS???

Please help, this very distressing, if true which PATRICK CAIN LEFT THE ISLE, THE STOEN OR CORLETT one. This is where I must go back to the genealogist and have a rework for sure. Th marriage of Adam Cain to to Einor STOEN WAS1696, AND ABT 1700 WITH ANNE CORLETT, fOUR YEARS LATER, THE TWINS TO ANNE WERE BORN IN 1712, WHEN WERE THE TWINS OF ELINOR STOEN BORN???
