MARRIED ANNE CORLETT, ABT. 1700 AT KK MICHAEL
The ABT indicates that NO entry was found in the parish register and that this is a GUESS on the part of some mormon patron - I saw no such entry (maybe I missed it) - there is however an entry for an Adam Cain marrying an Elinor Stoen on 4 Aug 1696 at Michael - two children bapt in Michael (as opposed to Ballaugh) have Elinor as mother; unfortuneately his will of 1733 does not name his wife only the children.
The will of ann cain als corlet would imply she is a widow but her late husband is not named - setting dau-i-law ann and son patk as joint executors implies to me that there is a strong possibility that her dau in law ann is a widow (otherwise her husband would act for her) - there is also some query re dau ellinor as she is referred to as ellinor cain (tho her married sister Margt is given her married name) - in Adam's will of 1733 Ellinor is given as wife of wm Kelly (married 1733)
