In the other thread, Frances said the land records for Dreemsbury (sorry, I forget the exact name) begin for John Looney (md Margaret Hutchin 1777) in February 1770 and then repeat for several following years. If this John were to be the son of John Looney & Margaret Kelvie, born no earlier than 1747, wouldn't he be rather young to be acquiring property? Or is it more common than I think? I know his father had recently died and it's the very same month his mother remarried, but it doesn't seem right to me. Thoughts?
