We may be distantly related! My GG Grandfather was Philip Teare (b ca 1792). Wondering if your William was his brother? If I read Thomas Tear's historical account of his family correctly, that is. And interesting to hear Peter say they farmed Ballawhane as I thought it was Ballakinnag based on Thomas Tear's memoirs. But, of course, I could be reading his history incorrectly as it does jump around a bit - if anyone has a documented family tree to share, I'd appreciate it! At any rate, nice to "meet" you!
