According to D.S. Dugdale who was a long-time Andreas researcher and who deposited his considerable research on land records in the Manx Museum library, there was a Teare family living at Ballakinnag from at least 1643 when William Teare lived there. His assumed descendant William Teare (1750-1817) & wife Christian Lace (1764-1848) had two sons named in the chart published in the book "Andreas" by Sally McCambridge [2005] which was based on D.S. Dugdale's research. However there is much more about many of the families in his papers in the MM, than in the book.

The two sons included in the chart were William (1787-1858) who inherited Ballakinnag and Thomas (b.1795). "William & Thomas were referred to as 'The Teare Lords'". - So perhaps that is where the idea of the Lords came from?

The best way to find out whether there were further siblings if Richard doesn't appear in FamilySearch baptisms, would be to view the wills of William and Christian (if any).
