See "Thomas Tear Acct" in Frances' Manx Notebook. Philip is the "uncle Philip" about whom Thomas Tear writes.
PHILIP TEARE (John - Joaney Moore, Philip - Alice Curghy, William - _____) was born about 1791,
and died June 19, 1871, age 83yrs. He married, at Braddan, January 18, 1817, ELINOR CAINE, a
consumptive wife, from the south part of the island, who had died a few months, after the marriage. (Is
she Eleanor Teare, als Cain, who was buried at Andreas, February 23, 1817?)
Philip married second, at Andreas, December 22, 1822, MARGARET QUIRK, a sister of the late John
Quirk, of Madison, Ohio.
Here is a link to Philip Tear's cemetery record (several of his children buried in this cemetery also)

This cemetery record gives his wife as "Margaret". I don't believe this can be Margaret Quirk, as Philip;s wife in 1851 was :Eleanor".
So, I think Philip had four wives: Eleanor Caine, Margaret Quirk, another Eleanor from 1851 census, another Margaret from cemetery record
Unfortunately, I cannot find the 1861 and 1871 censuses online. I believe they were living in Wold Pointe, Alma Parish, Albert County, New Brunswick.
