why not trace thro lands - was he left it or bought it - the will is however pre my photos so I can't check on name + can't find it elsewhere in this form so possibly misread? - possibly the 'Elan' which with definite aricle would produce nellin or similar + 'l's + 't's easily confused in some hands (esp on poor microfilms) - if so then deed in 1788 would fit
